Flour price increase to come again
The costs in the mill industry increased significantly, since the average 5 percent increase occured after the 2017 harvest, so it is not possible to delay the further increase in transfer prices.
Lakatos Zoltán, Chief Executive Officer of the Hungarian Grain Processors, Feeders’ Manufacturers and Merchants Association (Gabonszövetség) told Világgazdaság that wages are rising with an average of 10 percent from January and a 30 percent increase in electricity prices also make flour price increase inevitable.
