ALDI continues its price reductions: it will reduce the prices of 12 types of fresh pork from January 15, 2026, by an average of more than 7%. ALDI is reducing the consumer prices of several products for the second time in January, following its dairy price reduction measure a week earlier.

The supermarket chain made the decision in November 2021 to purchase fresh meat for its permanent offer exclusively from Hungarian suppliers, who only supply all stores of the supermarket chain with fresh meat from domestic farming, slaughtering and processing – and the company has adhered to this measure to this day. Thus, all of the fresh pork included in the current price reduction comes exclusively from Hungarian sources, and all are members of ALDI’s own-brand HÚSMESTER product line.

The products with reduced prices include essential ingredients in Hungarian gastronomy, such as various types of pork loin and tenderloin, and the price of minced pork, thighs and ribs will also be reduced. The largest price reduction is for goulash meat made from pork thighs, the price of which will be 16% lower from January 15, from 1229 HUF to 1029 HUF. A kilo of chopped pork loin with Caesar’s chain and sirloin will be 14% cheaper than before, so it will cost 1639 HUF instead of 1915 HUF. One of the most popular pork meats, the half-kilo package of minced meat with 20% fat, will be reduced by 6%, from 1169 HUF to 1099 HUF. The price of 500 grams of the popular boneless sliced rib eye steak will drop from HUF 1,499 to HUF 1,379, an 8% reduction. The price reduction is valid nationwide, in all ALDI stores, from January 15.

ALDI seizes every opportunity to reduce prices in order to support Hungarian families and households in saving. The discount chain is constantly looking for cheaper sources of supply and renegotiating its existing supplier contracts in order to pass on the benefits achieved to its customers in the form of price reductions.
