Another fusion in the Coop Group

The Economic Competition Authority (GVH) accepted that the food-group Nyírzem Ltd., – which is part of the Coop group will obtain 60 percent share in the Mezőkövesd Zrt.

According to the calculations of the Economic Competition Authority (GVH) Nyírzem group's share of the national food retail market is less than the 0.5 per cent, and it is the same at Mezőkövesd Zrt. which is the owner of other two also-Coop Group Zrt and Ltd.
According to the Economic Competition Authority (GVH), after the merger the two companies combined group will have such a small market share, which would not raise competition concerns.
