Another acquisition in the private healthcare market
Another acquisition is redrawing the map of domestic private healthcare providers: the owner of the complex outpatient care and one-day surgery center RMC Clinics, the Romanian-based MedLife S.A., has acquired the internationally recognized center of domestic vascular surgery, VP-Med Kft.
MedLife S.A., the international health service company behind the complex outpatient care and one-day surgery center RMC Clinics, made another acquisition in Hungary: in addition to its two existing domestic companies, it bought Hungary’s leading private vascular surgery center, VP-Med Kft. With the acquisition that took place at the end of September, RMC Clinics expands its portfolio, which also includes fetal diagnostics, pediatrics, dentistry and same-day surgery, with vascular surgery services.
“We were looking for a partner whose operation and structure is similar to the existing organizational structure of RMC Clinics. In addition, it was important that our creed be similar: in both organizational cultures, continuous professional development, retraining and a patient-centered attitude are priorities.”
– said Dr. Gyula Csermely, Hungarian director of the MedLife group.
The number one professional advantage of the acquisition is that the existing more than a hundred specialists will be joined by another excellent specialist who performs their work at a similar level. The stated goal of RMC Clinics was to expand its same-day surgery services, and the acquisition of the vascular surgery clinic can support this. Dr. Attila Szabó, founder and leader of VP-Med Kft., an internationally recognized vascular surgeon and vein specialist, will continue to play a key role in the management of the company.
