Recent food-adulteration scandal in Germany
After the horse meat scandal, another food safety scandal raises waves in Germany. According to Monday's press reports, millions of eggs, produced in large plants were sold as organic eggs.
According to Der Spiegel, in Lower Saxony proceedings have been initiated against 150 chicken farms, because there are suspicions that they used the ecological breeding mark on eggs unauthorized. The first procedures were launched in 2011. (MTI)
