Is milk still healthy?
One of the proteins in milk inhibit the growth and incidence of malignant colorectal cancer – a new study showed. During the research of the Swedish Lund University, the lactoferricin4-14 milk protein was slowing down the malignant change of the cancer cells, causing physical damage to the DNA of the cancer cells.
A number of previous studies have shown the cancer preventive effect of low-fat milk. According to a U.S. study published last year, children who are regularly drinking milk have 40 percent less chance to become ill with colon cancer in adulthood, while women over 50, who regularly consuming milk, a 47 percent reduction in cancer occurred.
