New Operations Director at ORLEN Hungary
Péter Gyúrós joined the company as Director of ORLEN Hungary Retail Operations on March 17, 2025. With more than two decades of experience, he strengthens ORLEN’s operations in Hungary as a key player in the retail and fuel markets.

International experience and outstanding results During his career, Péter Gyúrós gained management experience at large international companies such as Shell, where he worked for nearly 19 years in various strategic and business development areas. Among other things, as the head of the non-fuel retail business in the Central and Eastern European region, he achieved a 30% revenue growth in three years and successfully introduced new business concepts and food industry partnerships.
Subsequently, as the Business Development Director of Shell Fleet Solutions, he was responsible for the strategy and business development of the Eastern European, Russian, Turkish and South African markets. Leadership in the premium products market After Shell, Péter Gyúrós managed the export activities of Europe’s largest hot tub manufacturer as the International Sales Director of Wellis Magyarország Zrt. During this period, he strengthened the company’s market presence, built new sales channels and increased the international recognition of the brand.
Later, he continued his career as the Sales Director of Kerox Kft., where he strengthened the company’s global market position, achieving, among other things, a 50% growth in the wax motor business. Strong academic background and leadership training Péter Gyúrós earned his degree in economics from Corvinus University of Budapest, and during his studies he also studied at the Jönköping International Business School in Sweden on a scholarship.
He further developed his leadership skills in prestigious international programs such as the executive training courses at Cornell University and the Kellogg School of Management. Strategic goals at ORLEN Hungary As Director of ORLEN Hungary Retail Operations, Péter Gyúrós will be responsible for strengthening the company’s retail strategy, increasing operational efficiency and further developing the customer experience.
