Morrisons launches new travel platform
Morrisons has launched a new travel partnership with Expedia Group that enables customers to book hotels, flights and car services while earning loyalty card points.
The new service will be available via the retailer’s website and the Morrisons More app, offering flight deals from airports, as well as hotels, car hires and booked excursions, Grocery Gazette reports.
Jamie Winter, director of procurement at Morrisons, said: “With the Morrisons Travel launch, customers can now book everything from flights to hotels through Morrisons while being rewarded through our More Card once their trip is complete.
“This new service is designed to make life a little easier by offering more simple, good-value options in areas that really matter to our customers.”
Shoppers booking through the platform will earn 10 More Points for every £1 spent on hotels, car hire and activities.
Points which have been earned from bookings will appear on the More app as ‘pending points’ and will be redeemed once travel is completed.
The move is part of the retailer’s commitment to broadening its range of services which are available to customers, which already include pharmacies, Travel Money, Timpson and Amazon Lockers.
