A new passenger terminal to be built at the Debrecen Airport
A new passenger terminal will be built at the Debrecen Airport to accommodate growing passenger traffic – the city’s mayor announced on Friday as he welcomed this year’s 500,000th passenger, Fekete Dániel, high school student on his Wizz Air flight to Milan.

Papp László (Fidesz-KDNP) said that the tender for the new passenger terminal will be announced later this year.
Debrecen Airport has a year-on-year increase in passenger traffic. At the beginning of the decade only slghtly more than ten thousand people were using the Debrecen International Airport (DIA), while last year 380 thousand and passenger number is expected to reach 600,000 by the end of this year.
