New executive director at the Seed Association

From 1 January, Polgár Gábor became the executive director of the Seed Association Interprofessional Organization and Product Council. The specialist replaces dr. Ruthner Szabolcs, who contiues his career in Switzerland at the International Seed Federation.

The Seed Association Interprofessional Organisation and Product Council has 817 members. The association’s President is Takács Géza. The participants of the export-driven sector are realizing an annual turnover of 100 billion HUF. After France, the Netherlands, the United States, Germany and Chile Hungary is the sixth largest seed exporter in the world. The companies in the sector producing 1,500 varieties of seed from more than 100 different species every year.
