New trends at Anuga in Cologne
The Anuga food trade fair lasts until 14th October focuses on new products, marketing concepts and development strategies.
According to Kakuk Márta, the Hungarian representative of the Cologne fair; The financial crisis affects less the food sector compared to other sectors, so the exhibitors' interest remains high. 522 companies from 97 countries, represents on the world's largest food trade fair. Germany is the largest exhibitor with 888 companies, the Chinese represents themselves with 404 exhibitors, followed by Spain with 392, France 255, Greece 226 Netherlands 232 companies.
Hungary’s food production is represented by 45 companies. Compared to the last Anuga 30 percent less Hungarian companies representing Hungary in the organization of Agrármarketing Centrum. However, the number of the Hungarian market participants that are hiring a stand alone increased from 12 to 16. The Hungarian participation is in line with the international trends.
