A new trend in tourism: LGBTQIA accommodations are emerging
LGBTQIA+ tourism is gaining more and more attention worldwide, as this community represents significant solvent demand. Despite this, many countries still do not pay enough attention to meeting their needs. However, more recently, tourist destinations have also joined the high-level service of the LGBTQIA+ community, which until now could not really be said about. One of the American magazines surprisingly mentions Budapest among these destinations.
Nepal is known as one of the most progressive countries in Asia when it comes to LGBTQIA+ rights, and accordingly, more and more attention is paid to the needs of the community. The country not only has laws prohibiting discrimination based on gender identity, but visitors to the country can also choose the “other” option when filling out the gender section of the visa – reported Mfor.hu following CNN.
An impressively renovated 29-suite hotel will open its doors in Nepal this August, with an emphasis on sustainable and responsible tourism in addition to luxury wellness and thoughtful design. Local tourism professionals offer a rich program for guests, who can hike in the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountain ranges, meet Tibetan wolves, go horseback riding, and visit local villages.
Although Hungary is not the first thing that comes to mind when looking for LGBTQIA+ friendly places, according to the trade magazine Travel + Leisure, Budapest is becoming an increasingly popular destination for the community. Some of the country’s laws are still oppressive towards LGBTQIA+ people, but Budapest has become one of the friendliest places in Eastern Europe for them. Due to the simple, low-cost, direct flights and the rich historical heritage, the capital is a favorable destination for such adventures.
