Tesco to open new department store in Czech Republic
According to Retail Week the new store to open at the end of February in Liberec, will carry a mix of fashion, home furnishings and food.
The department store will feature both
own labels and brands including Esprit, Miss Sixty, Energie,
Quiksilver, Levi's, Springfield, Cortefiel, Women's Secret, Adidas,
Billabong, Full Circle, Calvin Klein, D&G and Guess. Tesco is
considering launching department store formats in Prague and
Bratislava in Slovakia. Meanwhile, Tesco is considering converting
several stores in the Czech Republic to the ‘My’ format,
featuring ‘My’ followed by the city in which the stores are
located.
