István Nagy explained that the budget of the call for applications for aquaculture enterprises, public bodies and civil organizations is 6.3 billion forints. The aim of the support is to encourage productive investments and to disseminate environmentally friendly and energy-efficient technologies. The application provides opportunities for the establishment of new aquaculture farms, the modernization of existing facilities, the purchase of machinery and equipment, animal health developments, climate-neutral investments and the purchase of data collection and analysis technologies. The support intensity of the projects for micro, small and medium-sized enterprises is 60%, and the amount of non-refundable support can range from 6 million forints to 400 million forints.
According to the Minister, a separate call has been made for fish processing enterprises, with a budget of almost 1.7 billion forints
The application encourages the application of modern, energy-efficient fish processing technologies, the introduction of new and improved products, processing procedures, and corporate management systems. The call supports, among other things, the production of ready-to-cook, boneless, high-added-value products, waste management and by-product utilization developments, as well as occupational safety and hygiene investments. The support intensity is 50%, and the amount of non-refundable support that can be requested can range from 5 million forints to 400 million forints. Both applications are co-financed by the European Union and Hungary, within the framework of the MAHOP Plusz program, contributing to the modernization, competitiveness and sustainability of the domestic fish farming sector.
