Regional e-commerce has reached a new level
Pepita Group Zrt. increased its domestic gross turnover by more than 24 percent in 2024 compared to 2023, while including foreign markets, the growth reached 39.3%. On average, a successful order arrived on Pepita.hu every 72 seconds last year. The number of online paid purchases increased by 47%. Based on their community of over 1 million active users, they forecast further growth both domestically and internationally.
Pepita Group Zrt. achieved significant growth in 2024 both domestically and in international markets. Its domestic gross turnover was more than 23.5 billion forints, which represents a 24.4% increase compared to 2023. Together with the Romanian, Slovak, German, Austrian, Polish and Bulgarian markets, the growth reached 39.3%, and their combined gross turnover with domestic and international markets was nearly 29 billion forints.
“The number of products sold also increased dynamically – explained the details to József Dorcsinecz, co-founder of Pepita Group Zrt. – In Hungary, 14.1% more products were sold, and including foreign markets, 25.2% more products were sold than in 2023.”
More than two million products were sold domestically in 2024, and there were more than 1 million active users, which means that more than 1 million users visited the pepita.hu website in the past 12 months and made a successful purchase there. In Hungary and Slovakia, electronic products proved to be the most popular in terms of number of units sold, while baby products were the top sellers in Austria, Romania and Germany, and IT products in Poland. After Hungary, Pepita Group Zrt. achieved the highest turnover in Romania (4 billion forints), while the other markets Slovakia, Germany, Poland, Austria and Bulgaria achieved a combined turnover of 1.5 billion forints.
