Lidl has taken food rescue to a new level
So far, Lidl Hungary has placed great emphasis on donating and reducing food waste. From today, it will continue its food rescue activities in accordance with the law, but even more widely. It will pass on any remaining food fit for human consumption to its existing charities through a voluntary donation. Through the complex donation program of the store chain, it helped Hungarian families in need with more than HUF 360 million in donations during the 2021 financial year, as well as contributed to the development of domestic healthcare and the provision of the highest possible level of care.
