The government is taking action against drug-related crimes with a new regulation
The government’s new emergency decree has been published in the Hungarian Gazette, which allows for stricter action against violations related to the production, use, distribution and promotion of drugs. According to the provision, the police can temporarily close business premises for up to three months where a drug-related crime is established based on ongoing criminal proceedings.
The authorities must clearly display the fact of the temporary closure at all entrances to the business, and the notice cannot be removed during the entire period of closure. Immediate legal protection against the decision cannot be requested.
The decree can be applied during the current state of emergency, which the government has maintained due to the armed conflict and humanitarian situation in Ukraine.
The gazette also contains several decisions on the development of educational and sports infrastructure: a decision on the preparation and implementation of gymnasiums, school renovations and new nurseries from Gyöngyöstarján through Nyékládháza and Rajka to Szombathely. In most of the investments, the Ministry of Construction and Transport was given the preparatory and implementing role, in many cases by providing central funds of several hundred million forints.
