New record – Diverse students spend 1 billion forints in September
Hungary’s largest platform offering student discounts, Diverzum, is breaking records in September, thanks to its more than 200,000 active users with student status, its own developed, data-driven recommendation system, and the campaigns that have just been launched.
Although they don’t have the money to buy their own apartment yet, the 1 billion forint monthly spending in September proves that this generation represents significant purchasing power – 600 billion forints per year – and brands should pay attention to them. In addition to sales-focused discounts, Diverzum also introduced a new format for brands, with which they can specifically build awareness and brand image among young people.
Billion-dollar spending and billion-dollar discounts
Diverzum, known as the discount platform for the young generation, students over 14, is now not only a site offering student discounts, but also the digital brand map of Generation Z. The startup has achieved spectacular economic growth in recent years, while becoming a key player in marketing to students.
In September 2025, student spending on Diverzum will exceed the 1 billion forints per month goal in just one month. The record amount is also due to the record number of users. There are now two hundred thousand students with active student status choosing the brands and offers found on Diverzum.
The gradually increasing spending is also profitable for students, with users having saved a total of 2 billion forints with Diverzum discounts since launch. This result was originally planned for the end of the year, but they already exceeded expectations by the fall and they still have the year-end period ahead of them with strong traffic.
