New project launched to shape attitudes – one step closer to nature
The Ministry of Agriculture (MA) has won HUF 1,000,000,000 non-refundable EU funding within the framework of the priority project KEHOP PLUSZ-3.2.1-24-2024-00009, “Creating the communication conditions for a broad social commitment to the preservation of Hungary’s natural and landscape heritage” (hereinafter: project) within the framework of the Environmental and Energy Efficiency Operational Programme Plus “Nature Conservation Investments – Infrastructure, Communication” call for proposals.

The project implementer, the State Secretariat for Nature Conservation of the MA, as a state actor, set the goal of presenting and promoting natural values and developing presentation methods. The project is being implemented with the ten national park directorates (NPIs) and the Hortobágyi Nature Conservation and Gene Preservation Nonprofit Kft., and its main goal is to increase the wider public awareness of the opportunities provided by domestic nature conservation. One element of the coordinated sectoral communication is the unification and complete renewal of the online interfaces of the organizations involved, as well as the acquisition, installation and operation of the necessary physical infrastructure as a result of the development.
The other main goal is the professional training of the employees of the organizations involved in the project
The eleven developed training modules ensure the acquisition of gap-filling competencies for employees involved in environmental education and external and internal communication. The project is implemented within the framework of the Széchenyi Terv Plusz program.
