As of March 1, 2026, a new country director will manage JYSK’s operations in Hungary: Tamás Szűcs will take over from Sándor Szimeiszter, who will continue his work at the company in a regional management role, responsible for operations in several countries.

The change of leadership is taking place in parallel with the comprehensive strengthening of JYSK’s retail organization. The company is introducing a new regional structure, as part of which three regions will be created in the retail area, with their own human resources and financial matrix structure. The aim is to further support business growth, operate more efficiently and strengthen local organizations.

Tamás Szűcs will be responsible for the operations of JYSK in Austria in addition to Hungary as Country Director from 1 March 2026.

Tamás Szűcs has more than two decades of commercial experience. He has been working at JYSK since 2009 and has held several management positions during his career: previously as a regional manager, retail manager and then as Head of Retail, he managed retail operations in Hungary, Greece and Austria. He took an active role in the wide-scale introduction of the JYSK 3.0 store concept in the Hungarian, Greek and Austrian markets.

As Country Director, I have a more complex task with an even broader scope of responsibility. My goal is to further strengthen the cooperation between different areas of expertise and jointly exploit the growth potential that JYSK has in Hungary and Austria,” said Tamás Szűcs in connection with his appointment. The changes serve JYSK’s long-term growth strategy and ensure continuity for the Hungarian and Austrian organizations.
