Koltech Kft. built a new irrigation warehouse in Szeged

At the event presenting the development, the specialist said that HUF 183 million of the HUF 261.5 million investment costs are covered by a conditionally non-refundable EU grant. The company’s predecessor was founded in 1987 as a sole proprietorship and was engaged in the construction of gas pipelines, it expanded its scope of activity first to the construction of sewer and water pipeline systems, then also to trade, and from 1994 it continued to operate as a limited partnership and from 1998 as a limited liability company – informed the managing director. In 2012, the company built an office building and a shop at its location in Szőreg with a tender grant, but with the increase in traffic, both the available storage capacity and the size of the sales and showroom space needed to serve customers became scarce. Therefore, a warehouse store with a floor area of 458 square meters was created next to the store, said the specialist.

In the sales area, there are storage tables for selling plants, and shelf systems for placing goods. With the expansion, owners of small gardens in the surrounding settlements – Szőreg, Szeged, Deszk, Újszentiván, Tiszasziget – will be able to purchase all the products needed to maintain the garden in the Koltech Kft. store – emphasized Tibor Kollár.

According to publicly available company data, the family-owned Koltech Kft. employs 18 employees, and its net sales revenue from sales last year was HUF 351.7 million, which was more than 6 percent higher than the previous year. The company achieved a taxable profit of HUF 35 million in 2021, and HUF 39 million last year.
