Auchan France Launches New Smart Store At Its Headquarters
Auchan France has announced the launch of an Auchan Go le lab outlet at its headquarters in Villeneuve d’Ascq. After the success of its first contactless store, installed on the EDHEC campus in Croix, the second smart store relies on solutions provided by Trigo and seeks to become ‘a laboratory of innovations’ for the brand.
QR-code
In this new space, the support services teams and all visitors will be able to find a wide range of products, with offers on snacking and extra shopping.
Customers can identify themselves by downloading the dedicated application, which generates a QR code or allows the use of a bank card on the entry system.
Thanks to motion recognition technology on cameras and shelves equipped with scales, the virtual basket fills in automatically, once the physical products have been collected. Payment is instant and the receipt is digitised.
Érintésmentes megoldások
Auchan France says it intends to make this Auchan Go an integrated laboratory for technological innovations to test contactless solutions as well as new products, before considering possible opportunities for future rollout.
Auchan France is supported in this project by Trigo, a company specialising in smart solutions for large distribution.
The retailer added that the ability to implement this concept on existing appliances (gondolas, fridges, etc.) makes it possible to work in real conditions to invent the ‘hypermarket of the future.’
