Mars unveils new workplace concept
According to the latest data of the Central Statistical Office (KSH)[2], the number of people working from home tripled during the coronavirus pandemic compared to the previous 10 years. While the peak was in May 2020, when nearly 20% of employees were asked to work from home, many have not returned to the office or developed a hybrid way of working. With changing needs and employee well-being in mind, Mars, one of the world’s largest manufacturers of sweets, food, chewing gum and pet food, has spent the past two years listening to its employees and redefining the rules and working habits based on their experience. The company has now summarized key conclusions about what a community workplace would look like in the “new normal” and presents future of work, a new way of working that focuses on the individual needs of employees and aims to support their performance and well-being.
