Metro opens new logistics centre near Bucharest

Metro Romania has opened its first dedicated Food Service Distribution (FSD) warehouse in the immediate vicinity of Bucharest. The joint development with Belgian logistics company WDP is the result of a EUR 19.6m investment: the 12,000m², state-of-the-art facility is designed to serve the HoReCa sector and independent food stores in the capital and its agglomeration. The warehouse offers more than 11,500 fresh, frozen and chilled products.
