Zoll-Platz Kft. built a new logistics center on the outskirts of Szeged
Zoll-Platz Kft., which provides customs brokerage and logistics services, built a new warehouse center near Szeged with EU support and an investment of about HUF 1.4 billion, the company informed MTI.
According to the announcement, HUF 313 million of the costs of the investment were covered by EU support. As a result of problems in supply chains due to the pandemic, the need for local storage is increasing. Responding to these needs, Zoll-Platz Kft. decided to create a new logistics center on the outskirts of Szeged, next to Sándorfalvi út. The area is both close to the M43 and M5 highways and is bordered by a siding connected to the Szeged-Hódmezővásárhely railway line.
A 2,890-square-meter building made of sandwich panels was created, in which, in addition to areas suitable for storage, there are also office and social rooms. Three 50-kilowatt solar panel systems were installed on the building with five docks – suitable for loading trucks – which also cover the energy needs of the center and the electric charging stations to be installed in the parking lots. Material handling equipment, forklifts, and cleaning and lawnmowers necessary for the operation of the logistics center were also purchased.
