The investment, within the framework of which a new, modern LIDL store is being built in Csepel–Királyerdő, on Mély Street, was launched this morning with a ceremonial foundation stone laying ceremony. The development is another important stage in the development of Királyerdő.

The people living here have long wanted the food and household goods necessary for everyday shopping to be available locally, in a modern environment. The Csepel local government has now fulfilled this demand. The ceremonial laying of the foundation stone was attended by Lénárd Borbély, Mayor of Csepel, and Nóra Király, Member of Parliament, with whose support the old wish of the people living here can now be fulfilled. Flórián Földházi was present on behalf of the investor. The launch of the investment was celebrated with the symbolic placement of a time capsule, in which memories of the present era were placed.

The capsule also contains a message for the future. The development is based on a municipal development process that has been ongoing for several years. The Csepel municipality purchased the necessary properties on Szent István út a few years ago, and then, by arranging the area, a development plot of more than six thousand square meters was created. The council subsequently sold the property through a tender with the aim of creating a modern commercial facility in the area that serves the needs of the local population. The new store will help the everyday lives of those living in the area, as the modern retail unit offers a wide range of food and household products.
