New opportunities for small farmers
According to the Alliance for the Living Tisza Association; new opportunities came into force on the 5th of July for the small-scale producers.
One of the most important amendment of the small producer regulation is that the animal basic products (milk, eggs, raw meat, etc) and the processed small-scale products (cheese, jam, sausages, etc) can be sold in the county, where it was produced or in Budapest (region) or in the 40 km distance of the farm for the final consumer, as well as in shops and catering units, so also in the public catering as well – reports Magyar Nemzet Online.
