MediaMark Hungary operates from a new central warehouse
A new era begins in the life of MediaMarkt Hungary: the market-leading electronics retailer moved its central warehouse to the newly built logistics center of its strategic partner, WSZL Automotív Kft., in Ecser. The energy-efficient facility, which uses renewable resources, provides MediaMarkt with the opportunity to develop efficient product supply processes, expand the service portfolio, and increase capacity as needed.
WSZL’s brand new, modern facility, handed over in 2024, is located next to Ecser, close to the capital, the national border, the M0 and M4 highways, and Liszt Ferenc Airport. It was an important aspect that the logistics center uses renewable energy and is environmentally friendly. Special lighting technology reduces the amount of energy used by 60%, and water-saving solutions cut water consumption in half.
After a wide-ranging tendering process, MediaMarkt Hungary decided that for the next five years, it will supply domestic stores and online customers from WSZL’s facility in Ecser. The new central warehouse provides WSZL with an area of 47,000 square meters for the users of its services, which is sufficient not only to serve current needs, but also to increase capacity. The warehouse is suitable for handling emerging needs flexibly and quickly and providing space for seasonal extra space requirements.
