The National Chamber of Agriculture and Rural Development (NAK) has published a new publication to help you navigate the land turnover rules
The National Chamber of Agriculture and Rural Development (NAK) has published a new, comprehensive publication summarizing the land turnover rules. The publication, available on the NAK website, contains all amendments to the Land Turnover Act in force so far and seeks to formulate the land turnover rules in an easy, transparent and understandable way. The aim is to make it easy for those interested to navigate the land turnover rules.
More than ten years have passed since Hungary, as a member of the European Union, had to open the domestic agricultural land market to farmers from member states. As a result, Act CXXII of 2013 on the turnover of agricultural and forestry land (hereinafter referred to as the Land Turnover Act) and Act CXXII of 2013 on the turnover of agricultural and forestry land were enacted. Act CCXII of 2013 on certain provisions and transitional rules related to the Act (hereinafter: Fétv.).
In recent years, those active in agriculture have had to face numerous new challenges and changes, and land transaction regulations were no exception
Based on all this, it became necessary to fine-tune land transaction regulations. The package of laws, known as the agrarian salad, adopted by the Parliament at the end of last year, modifies and clarifies the rules on the sale and lease of domestic agricultural land on several points. The modifications primarily served to close loopholes and implement practical experiences. The National Chamber of Agriculture considers it a priority task to assist its members with up-to-date information, which is why in recent years we have summarized the modifications to the land transaction regulations in a publication. Now, however, the time has come for the NAK to present the changes of the past 10 years with a new publication that covers the most important rules of land traffic.
