New treatment was used to prevent nut allergies
It was possible to prevent nut allergies within a study involved a large number of patients. Within the research, sick children took a nut flour capsule each day for half a year to develop tolerance.
Doctors poured the contents of the nut flour capsule into food daily to accustom the children to nut with small, but increasing quantities.
According to the report of the California-based Aimmune Therapeutics published on Tuesday, six months later, 67 percent of the children in the study were able to eat roughly two pieces of nuts without allergic reactions, while only four percent of the children were able who were receiving the placebo – madicalxpress.com reported.
