New, innovative pesticide packaging from Syngenta
In 2019, Syngenta joined a broad industry coalition aiming to introduce closed transfer systems (CTS) in the European market by 2030. After a successful trial period in four European countries, the CTS easyconnect system is now available in more than 20 European countries.
The easyconnect system consists of two parts: a unique screw cap that can be mounted on the tank, and a connector. The spread of CTS brings real benefits to users and the environment, as it reduces operator exposure, the risk of spillage and point contamination by up to 90%, and significantly shortens the time it takes to fill the spray tank. An additional advantage is the built-in rinsing system, which makes the packaging easier to clean and rinse.
The spread of the closed transfer system has also driven the further development of packaging materials. Syngenta’s new, innovative liquid pesticide packaging, Evopac™, is compatible with CTS easyconnect and offers users a practical and safe way to use the product. The new packaging was developed by Syngenta in collaboration with growers.
