New director appointments at Hungary’s largest fleet manager, Ayvens
In a reshuffle of roles, new directors have been appointed to lead the commercial and car remarketing teams of market-leading fleet management and mobility service provider Ayvens. Viktor Hegedűs, the current head of the car remarketing business of the company formed from the merger of ALD Automotive and LeasePlan, will be responsible for the commercial area from March 1, 2025, and his position will be taken over by Máté Bori, the company’s COO, in addition to his existing duties.
Viktor Hegedűs joined LeasePlan Hungária Zrt. in 2016, having previously gained more than 10 years of experience in the banking sector, corporate finance and as a branch manager. He initially worked at the fleet manager as a sales manager, from where he was promoted to group manager of the Flex (formerly FlexiPlan) service, which offers short-term company car rental, in 2020. During the COVID pandemic, the demand for the service increased drastically, so the area grew into an independent organizational unit under his management by 2022, which has since expanded to a fleet of nearly 1,500 cars, making it one of the largest rental car fleets in the country. From 2022, he managed the company’s car remarketing activities, covering B2B, B2C, B2D sales channels. His main task was the structural transformation of the business, and after the successful standardization, the establishment of a new system of rules and the development of efficient organizational operations, Viktor Hegedűs was promoted to the position of car remarketing director from January 2024. In this context, in addition to remarketing activities, the rental car fleet was also under his management again. Until his new appointment as Commercial Director, he worked on the development of the operational structure following the merger of ALD and LeasePlan at the head of the business unit, with particular attention to harmonizing the different processes of the two companies and increasing efficiency.
As Commercial Director of Ayvens Hungary, Viktor Hegedűs now leads a team of 75 people responsible for the company’s sales, customer service and marketing activities, which now includes the customer service team managing the daily affairs of the fleet’s 33,000 car users, as well as the administration and calculation support group supporting the commercial area.
“I am very happy to have taken on the position of commercial director of Ayvens, which will allow me to return to the sales of the operational leasing scheme after a 5-year hiatus, now as a strategic leader. It was a special experience when I was able to sell the car I had contracted and ordered as a sales manager a few years later, at the end of the term, during the car remarketing processes. Since I had the opportunity to be present at every stage of the life cycle of leased cars and to gain deep professional knowledge in each area due to my various positions, I believe that I bring a knowledge and approach to commercial operations that will help the team become the heart and engine of Ayvens,”
said Viktor Hegedűs.
