New era in the world of beer
Come 2015, students at the Culinary Institute of America won’t have to travel far to step inside the Brooklyn Brewery. Our neighborhood beer makers will be opening a seven-barrel brewing system in the prestigious culinary school’s new student union, currently under construction. According to a release from the CIA, the operations of the brewery will be integrated into the curriculum for students (21 and older) with a concentration in Advanced Wine, Beverage and Hospitality.
Brewmaster Garrett Oliver and other members of the Brooklyn Brewery team plan to make regular trips to the Hyde Park campus to help develop the course and recipes. The CIA will also work together with the brains at Brooklyn Brewery to serve its own signature lager, pilsner and seasonal beers on tap and in on-campus restaurants.
