Waitrose to double online capacity with new fulfilment centre
On 7 May Waitrose opened a 6-acre customer fulfilment centre in London in a bid to double its online grocery orders by September. The centre created 370 jobs, which will grow to 850 when full capacity is reached. The new facility will eventually add 13,000 weekly delivery slots for London customers.
