New focus in the strategy of SPAR in Hungary
The franchise network is the source of the company's growth in the future, of which the company provides the opportunity for the family private traders to develop. In addition to the opening of new stores, nearly 70 of the SPAR staff would take over existing business units under the partnership program.
Currently the SPAR has 24 franchise partners in Hungary, under SPAR Market or SPAR Partner name depending on floor area and five business units are operating under the SPAR Express name nect to OMV filling stations. The first franchise store was opened in 2012 in Mór. Based on the company's revised strategy the number of the franchise partners will increase significantly in the 2015 fiscal year, but the SPAR have not disclosed the exact number yet, because preparatory negotiations are ongoing with potential partners.
