Cecília Müller was entrusted with a new task
As of August 1, the National Pharmaceutical and Food Health Institute (OGYÉI) will be merged into the National Center for Public Health, so it will also come under the supervision of the national chief medical officer Cecília Müller, according to a government decree published on Thursday.
From the first day of August, the National Center for Public Health will continue its activities under the name National Center for Public Health and Pharmaceuticals (NNGYK), to which, pursuant to the amendment, the supervision of medicines has been transferred.
The NNGYK is headed by the national chief medical officer, Cecília Müller. And the government designates the NNGYK as the pharmaceutical state administrative body, it was revealed in the latest issue of the Magyar Közlöny.
Now Népszava has learned that the wave of downsizing affects OGYÉI greatly. According to the paper, the number of 437 employees must be reduced by 80, which represents 18 percent of the jobs.
