New year, new product categories are added to the online Price Monitor
Lactose- and gluten-free products and beef, which are most often consumed by people with food allergies, are included in the online Price Monitoring system operated by the Economic Competition Authority (GVH). Thus, from mid-January, customers can compare prices in a total of 78 product categories – which means more than 1,300 food products on a daily basis. The Price Monitor lowers prices in the last hours of the year, before New Year’s Eve, so Hungarian families can save money and time by using it.
In Hungary, more than 3 million people live with some form of food intolerance or food allergy, and the online Árgyelő available at www.argyeló.gvh.hu will soon help them in a targeted way. Minister of Economic Development No. 74/2023 was published in the December 29, 2023 issue of Magyar Közlöny. (XII. 29.) GFM decree, according to which, on the 15th day after the announcement, another 16 product categories will be added to the system operated by the national competition authority.
Lactose- and gluten-free products and beef are also included in the Price Monitor. Thus, from mid-January, customers can compare daily prices in a total of 78 product categories. Thanks to the government’s decision, the online Price Monitor will also be available to Hungarian customers and Hungarian families in 2024, so the system operated by GVH will continue to ensure the comparability of prices and contribute to the continuous reduction of prices.
