The production of new packaging material began in Sümeg
Bódai Műanyag Kft. of Sümegi has started the production of new packaging material that can be used in the health sector, for which a new machine line was acquired worth HUF 1.2 billion – the company’s managing director informed MTI.
Miklós Bódai said that the company received HUF 660 million in EU support for the purchase of the three-story foil production machine.
According to his description, the new, seven-layer film is also suitable for packaging infusions, as it can be transported and stored safely and sterile. In addition, the machine is also suitable for the production of sterile packaging material for single-use medical devices, he added.
The foil is much more load-bearing than the average, and while a traditional plastic bag is only one-layer, this seven-layer foil seals very well and does not allow liquid or oxygen to escape.
The packaging material is weldable, transparent and brighter, softer than previous products, he said.
