State-of-the-art technology at Aquarius-Aqua Kft

The new facility, the result of a EUR 10 million investment, was inaugurated in Albertirsa by Minister of Rural Development Sándor Fazekas on 31 October 2012. Aquarius-Aqua Kft. was established in 1991 and the premises in Albertirsa opened in 2000; the company’s market share is currently above 35 percent. Aquarius-Aqua Kft. is in full Hungarian ownership and employs 200 people. In the new hall the new production line is capable not only of bottling mineral water but soft drinks too. At the moment manufacturing is carried out in 3 production halls on 31,000m². State-of-the-art technology is used: on 4 production lines 120,000 bottles of drinks are produced in an hour, which means 3 million bottles a day. Aquarius-Aqua Kft.’s Veritas Gold mineral water won the ITQI award several times, while the Aquarius mineral water is special because it is extra clean: it is from the peak of the Ice Age, 29,000 years ago! Quality certifications and audits of multinational companies attest the quality of these waters, for instance Pepsi has been cooperating with Aquarius-Aqua Kft. for years. In the last 10 years the company reduced the weight of bottles by 50 percent in order to put smaller burden on the environment and increased the proportion of recycled PET waste used.
