A new wine category on wine labels

A new category of wine appellations should be used from August of Hungarian wines. Instead of the geographical indication, traditional denominations will give guidance.

In Hungary four categories were existed. The so-called protected origin wine produced in tradicional historical production place, while the so-called quality wine was produced at a specified produce place. Landscape wine was named after a region, produced significant quantities of wine. Table wine was the wine that could not linked to any region and was also produced large quantities – reports ProfitLine.hu, after MTI.
