Florin Zrt. is building a new automated warehouse in Szeged
Florin Zrt, a manufacturer of disinfectants, cleaning agents and cosmetic products, is developing its logistics system and building a new automated warehouse with EU support and an investment of about HUF 1.6 billion.
Company manager Attila Barta announced at the foundation stone laying of the investment on Wednesday that half of the costs of the development, which will be completed by next spring, will be covered by European Union and domestic support.
The construction of the new warehouse base is the final stage of the company’s five-stage site development program. In recent years, Florin Zrt. has modernized its production capacity with an investment of HUF 6 billion. However, the company does not have a finished goods warehouse, they cannot stock the products coming off the production line locally, they are delivered to a logistics partner, and the packaging materials are also stored in rented warehouses near the site, he said.
With the investment, a warehouse of more than 3,000 square meters will be created by the end of the year, the 15-meter-high building will also be able to store 5,000 pallets, some of which are hazardous materials. The goods will be moved by self-propelled forklifts connected to the material flow and company management systems. As a result of the development, the company’s costs will decrease and the company’s competitiveness will improve – emphasized the company manager.
