Lidl is building a new administrative and logistics centre in Straubing

Lidl has begun construction of its new administration and distribution centre in Straubing, Germany, which will replace its current facility.

The taller building, which will be expanded by 2028, will supply goods to around 90 Lidl stores in the surrounding area. Lidl emphasised that sustainability is at the heart of the project: the new building will recycle 80% of the materials from the old centre and energy consumption will be 80% lower.
