World Tourism Day and Researchers’ Night: METU welcomes those interested with special programs
On September 27, the Budapest Metropolitan University (METU) awaits its visitors with exciting programs, as this year they celebrate World Tourism Day and the first day of Researchers’ Night at the same time. The purpose of the series of events is for the participants to get closer to the world’s tourist destinations and conscious travel.
At the event, interested parties can participate in lectures at the METU Nagy Lajos király út campus from afternoon to late evening. Visitors can listen to personal experiences about different destinations, which reveal the beauty of India, Vietnam, Madagascar, Dubai, Barcelona, Rome, Bulgaria, Tokaj-Hegyalja and the Balaton Highlands. During the presentations, in addition to colorful photos and videos, personal stories also bring the exotic locations to life.
One of the special features of the program is that through the cooperation between METU and Arizona State University, those interested can hear about the United States and international student mobility in a new perspective.
During the day, a playful quiz, prizes and a practical “travel package” await visitors, which will help them become conscious and responsible travelers. The goal of the event is for visitors not only to gather experiences during their travels, but also to create value for local communities.
