Tourism in Hungary 2011

The Hungarian National Tourist Office (Magyar Turizmus Zrt.) has prepared its Turizmus Magyarországon 2011 (Tourism in Hungary 2011)  Hungarian and English language statistical publication on the basis of its own and the Central Statistical Office’s datas.

Compared to the previous year the number of both foreign and domestic visitors also increased in 2011. The number of foreign tourists increased from 4,011,000 to 4,199,000, the number of domestic tourists from 3,462,000, to 3,822,000. However, the average length of stays declined in the case of both groups, overall by 1.8 percent from 2.8 days to 2.7 days. (turizmusonline.hu)
