Record number of entries at the Virágos Magyarország competition

This year, a record number of entries were registered at the Virágos Magyarország (Flower Hungary) competition: 349 settlements – including 33 Hungarian communities across the border – entered the competition, which closed on 15 June, with a total of 452 applications.

More than 150 municipal horticultural and landscape architects, city and village caretakers will take part in the forthcoming evaluation of the towns and villages, and staff from the Tourinform offices will also be involved in the tourism evaluation. Horticultural vouchers will be awarded in the value of more than 10 million HUF this year, in addition to the awards of the ministries and professional organizations delegating the members of the organizing committee, as well as the sponsorship awards – nearly 50 awards will enrich the settlements.
