Tourism agency: 53 billion HUF on development in 2018
Tourism achieved an outstanding result in the first four months of this year, and tourism developments will continue in 2018 to improve the competitiveness of the sector – Guller Zoltán, CEO of the Hungarian Tourism Agency said at a press conference in Budapest.
Guller Zoltán highlighted the latest report on the turnover of commercial accommodations published by the Central Statistical Office (KSH): tourism has become a driving force, and the growth also continued in April. It was double digits in all regions. The gross income of hotel accommodation reached an unprecedented a 33 percent increase, he said. The SZÉP card turnover was also significant, increased by 35 percent. (MTI)
