Tourism agency: tourism started the year well
Tourism started the year well. Primarily the number of foreign visitors rose, and a growth was registered at 8 out of 10 of the country’s most significant sending markets – according to the Hungarian Tourism Agency (MTÜ) told MTI on Wednesday.
The Hungarian Tourism Agency (MTÜ) highlights: The recovery in domestic travel activity is shown by the fact that in the third month of the year, 6.0 percent more Hungarian guests had a vacation in Hungary, although there were no long weekends this month nor the Easter holidays were in March. Growth is particularly strong in the first quarter: in January-March, 4.2 percent more Hungarian visitors spent 2.2 million nights in domestic accommodation. (MTI)
