Tourism agency: goal is quality tourism
The government is committed to maintain the Széchenyi Rest Cards, while the 300 billion HUF Balaton resource development will be reviewed if necessary, according to the new tourism strategy, the tourism quality strategy – Guller Zoltán, CEO of the Hungarian Tourism Agency (MTÜ) told in Siófok at a press conference on Wednesday.
MTÜ’s mission is to support and assist the goal that foreign tourists coming to Hungary to double their spendings within two years, surpassing the Czech and Austrian indicators – he added.
Today, a foreign tourist spends an average of 2.5 days in Hungary and spends 288 euros – he noted. (MTI)
