Change of ownership at Csíki Sör
Slovakian Hungarian billionaire Oszkár Világi and his business partner Jan Sabol have acquired two of András Lénárd’s companies, and it seems that the Tiltott Csíki Beer production company may soon be acquired by them as well, Magyar Hang reported.
Lixid Projekt SRL, the producer of Csíki Beer, was previously owned by András Lénárd and a Dutch company, but the Dutch owner filed for bankruptcy last year due to insolvency.
According to the Magyar Hang, Oszkár Világi was behind the bankruptcy proceedings, and with this step he wanted to oust András Lénárd from the companies. Proceedings were terminated this spring after financial claims were settled and the Dutch owner withdrew from bankruptcy proceedings. According to the case files, Világi and Sabol are now the owners of Pityóka Gyár SRL and Csiki Retail SRL, which manufacture the Csík chips and own the brand names and trademarks. Lénárd announced at the end of September that he had sold his 50% stake, although this transaction has not yet been registered in the company’s databases.
