Ownership change at the Sofitel Budapest Chain Bridge hotel
The Orbis Hotel Group has signed the purchase agreement of the Sofitel Budapest Chain Bridge hotel as a seller with the purchaser, the Starwood Capital Group. The change in ownership will be carried out within a few months.
According to the announcement of the companies published on Friday, the total sales price is approximately 75 million euros, or about 23 billion forints. The hotel is still operated by the Orbis Hotel Group on the basis of a long-term, 30-year initial management agreement.
According to the agreement, the new owner will renovate the hotel by creating modern luxurious spaces specific for the Sofitel brand.
